Orange-Liberia over the weekend officially launched the “Cashtoken Reloaded,” a nationwide customer reward promotion that will see thousands of Liberians win cash prizes, smartphones, and motorbikes simply by buying voice and data.
The colorful launch, held in Monrovia, brought together Orange executives, brand ambassadors, agents, and some of Liberia’s top musical stars, including Teddyride and SIO, who performed for customers as they registered to enter the raffle draw.
Speaking at the event, Mabel Mason, Communication Manager, described the promotion as Orange’s way of “giving back” to loyal customers while driving digital adoption across the country.
“It is an honor to have the launch of Cashtoken Reloaded that is packed with lots of prizes,” the Communication Manager said. “From L$1,000,000 to smartphones, to motorbikes, kekeh every week. And when you enter the raffle draw, you also have the chance to win L$6,000,000 or a brand-new car.”
According to the Orange team, participation is simple and open to all Orange customers nationwide. “All our valuable customers need to do is to buy voice or data using the Orange Max It App or by dialing *525#,” she explained. “In simple Liberian English, Orange cum give ur plenty money (Orange came to give you plenty money).”
Cashtoken Reloaded is an Orange promotion that rewards customers every time they purchase voice bundles or data through the Max It App or via USSD code *525#. Each purchase automatically qualifies the customer for weekly draws and the grand raffle.
Orange officials said the goal is to encourage more Liberians to go digital, reduce reliance on physical scratch cards, and make data and voice more affordable while rewarding usage.
Orange Liberia confirmed that Cashtoken Reloaded will run for several weeks with weekly winners announced across the country. Cash prizes up to L$1,000,000 to be won weekly, smartphones, the latest devices for digital connectivity, and motorbikes (KehKeh) to help winners with transportation and small business. At the end of the promotion, one lucky customer will walk away with either L$6,000,000 or a brand-new car.
“Every time you top up, you get an entry,” the Manager noted. “The more voice and data you buy, the more chances you have to win.” The launch was not just about announcements. It was a full entertainment experience.”
Orange Brand Ambassador and Liberia’s Afrobeats star Teddyride headlined the event, performing his hit songs to a crowd of excited customers. He was joined by SIO and other Liberian musical stars who kept the atmosphere lively.
Orange agents were also on the ground to help customers download the Max It App, register, and understand how to enter the promotion. “We want our customers to win money and also entertain themselves with music while they are here,” the Marketing and Communication Manager said. “This is Orange celebrating with the people.”
Cashtoken Reloaded comes as Orange Liberia continues to expand its Orange Money and digital services. The company said the promotion aligns with its broader mission to improve financial inclusion and digital literacy in Liberia.
Orange Money already allows customers to send and receive money, pay LEC bills and receive tokens instantly, pay LRA taxes, and buy airtime 24/7. With the Max It App, customers can now do all of that plus participate in Cashtoken Reloaded without visiting a shop.
“This is about rewarding loyalty,” an Orange executive told reporters. “When our customers use our services, they should feel the benefit immediately.” Several customers who attended the launch expressed excitement about the opportunity to win big.
“I just downloaded Max It and bought data. If I can win a kekeh or even L$1,000,000, that will change my life,” said one customer from Central Monrovia. Another agent said, “We have been telling our customers to use the app. Now with these prizes, everybody will want to buy through *525#.”
