Mustapha Njie, Head of TAF Africa Global, has announced the signing of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with the Government of Liberia, paving the way for a transformative 5,000-unit affordable housing and smart city project within the Monrovia growth corridor.

The agreement, signed Monday, April 6, 2026, in the presence of President Joseph N. Boakai, signals the start of high-level negotiations around what could become one of the country’s largest urban development initiatives in recent years.

According to Njie, the proposed project will span approximately 500 hectares and focus on delivering affordable housing, modern infrastructure, and integrated smart city solutions aimed at addressing Liberia’s growing urban housing deficit. Also, the Government of Liberia was represented by Jeff B. Blibo, Chairman of the National Investment Commission, who signed on behalf of the state.

Njie described the move as “the beginning of serious discussions,” emphasizing TAF Africa Global’s commitment to job creation, urban renewal, and strengthening public-private partnerships in Liberia’s real estate sector.

The investment mission, coordinated by Mohammed M. Bah, follows what Njie called a “gracious invitation” from President Boakai, underscoring the administration’s push to attract large-scale international investment into critical sectors. If realized, the project is expected to significantly reshape the Monrovia urban landscape while offering thousands of Liberians access to affordable, modern housing.
