CICA Motors Liberia last Friday launched the all-new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado that showcases a striking redesign while preserving its iconic off-roads capabilities and robust engineering. CICA Motors Liberia Managing Director Navin Chandler said the first Land Cruiser was launched in 1951 and was the driving force behind Toyota’s international development, becoming synonymous for reliability, durability and quality.

He said the all-new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle represents the perfect balance between luxury and capability, providing customers with a versatile driving experience whether navigating city streets of Monrovia or adventuring the upcountry on the rugged terrains and now available at CICA Motors showroom.

The new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado had an essential goal- for customers to be able to go anywhere and come back safely. It focused on its traditional strengths of quality, durability and reliability making the most difficult terrains easy work through.

CICA Motors MD Chander said 5,000 of the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser were manufactured in seven colors and 600 were given to CICA Motors of which four were given to Liberia for sale in mid-night gray color.

“The All-New Land Cruiser Prado retains its legendary Land Cruiser DNA with added exciting new technology, giving it exceptional performance available with a 2.4-litre Turbo Petrol Engine, with 199 KW (271 HP), 430 Nm of torque, also paired with the new 8-speed automatic transmission,” he said.

According to him, one of the major innovations on the new Land Cruiser Prado is its Electric Power Steering (EPS) system with smoother and direct feedback into the steering wheel on uneven surfaces that is greatly reduced; this gives the driver greater maneuverability in spite of the speed level of the car.

Mr. Chander further said with the aim of improving the Land Cruiser Prado’s cross-country capabilities, Toyota has equipped this new generation with another important innovation called the Stabilizer Bar with Disconnection Mechanism.

“This technology is a first for Toyota. At the touch of a button, the driver can disconnect the front stabilizer bar system to increase suspension travel and make it easier to conquer obstacles. The system automatically reconnects at speeds above 30 km/h to ensure optimum road holding and comfort for the vehicle’s occupants,” the CICA Motors boss said. He said the Multi-Terrain Monitor and Panoramic View Monitor Systems (MM and PVM) systems provide additional assistance when driving off-road.
