Vice President Jeremiah Koung has acknowledged that the government continues to struggle with job creation, describing it as the administration’s “weakness” more than two years after taking office. “Our government’s weakness is job creation. It has been two years since we took office, and our people are tired of waiting,” Koung said, stressing growing public frustration over limited employment opportunities.
He emphasized that the government cannot absorb all job seekers into the public sector and urged a stronger focus on private-sector development. “We cannot employ everyone in government, but let us create a private sector for jobs. Let’s prioritize our priorities,” he added. Koung’s remarks signal a renewed push for policies aimed at stimulating investment, entrepreneurship, and workforce development as the administration faces increasing pressure to deliver economic relief.
