The Anti-robbery Unit of the Liberia National Police (LNP has arrested five suspected armed robbers for allegedly robbing a Chinese identified as Joseph Xu, a resident of Congo Town. Those arrested in connection with the crime are, Emmanuel Johnson alias Wallace, Alfred Lablah alias Puyol, Junior Bundor alias Prince, Malachi Eze alias Promise, and Leemu Tabah.

Police preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects on Friday, September 13, 2024, at about 2:00 AM, broke into victim Joseph Xu’s home, placed him and his wife under gunpoint, and made away with an unspecified amount of cash and other valuables.

The investigation said the same group of suspects were in the process of entering the premises of Joseph Xu at about 12:45 AM, on Thursday, October 3, 2024, when they were arrested by the Anti-robbery Unit in two separate vehicles (taxi), with several items including pin-bar, one steel cutter and several keys.  The two vehicles, TX-03201 and a Nissan sedan without a plate are currently impounded at the headquarters of the LNP while an investigation into the matter continues.
