Authorities at the Monrovia Central Prison (MCP) on Monday, December 8, 2025, intercepted two Liberian women, Secret Kamara, 25, of Sinkor, and Christina Robert, 19, of ELWA, Paynesville, for allegedly attempting to smuggle a substance believed to be kush into the facility.
According to MCP security, the two women, who currently reside together in Sinkor, had arrived to visit inmates when routine checks uncovered the suspected narcotics concealed in their belongings. In her statement, Christina Robert claimed the substance was given to her by her friend, Secret Kamara, noting that it was her first time visiting the prison.
However, Kamara denied the allegation, stating that Christina was visiting a different inmate and had acted independently. The suspected drugs have been turned over to the appropriate authorities, and the matter remains under investigation. MCP management reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a secure and drug-free environment for both inmates and visitors.
