“Be Good ECOWAS Citizens”…Immigration Chief Urges

The Commissioner General of the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), Stephen Zargo has told members of the ECOWAS Citizens Union in Liberia to be good if they should be protected by the Government of Liberia.

Speaking as one of the guest lecturers at program making the official celebration of ECOWAS Citizens Union 49th anniversary held at the Public Hand Pump (PHP) Sports Park in Monrovia, Zargo noted that as part of the President’s ARREST Agenda, the well-being of ECOWAS citizens is prioritize.

He said formalities are being worked out to digitize ECOWAS citizens Residence Permit to address some of the constraints confronting ECOWAS citizens residing in Liberia.

Commissioner Zargo wants a harmonized one immigration training for members States immigration officers in the region.

He said the harmonized one immigration training will help address some of the challenges faced by ECOWAS citizens in the region.

He said Liberia enjoy its working relationship with ECOWAS for years and have also benefited from the relationship being built.
