The Liberian Senate has launched a new website to highlight the body’s legislative activities and enhance public access to its records and operations. The website is also expected to promote transparency and accountability at the Liberian Senate.
According to a release, the initiative, which comes under the leadership of Senate Pro Tempore Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, represents a significant step forward in modernizing the Senate’s communication infrastructure and opening up its work to citizens and stakeholders at home and abroad.
The development of the website was made possible through the efforts of the Senate Committee on Modernization, chaired by Nimba County Senator Nya Twayen, Jr.
According to Senator Twayen, the website will serve as a centralized hub for accessing key Senate information, including legislative records, committee functions, standing rules, motions, resolutions, and other official documents. It will also feature profiles and updates on the activities of individual senators. The website can be accessed @ https://senate.gov.lr/
