The National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) has officially opened a Scientific Manuscript Writing Workshop aimed at strengthening the research and publication capacity of public health professionals.

The training will run from March 2-6, 2026, at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at the NPHIL. According to a press release dated March 2, 2026, participants were selected from among the best abstract presenters at the recently concluded Emmet A. Dennis National Scientific Conference (EADNSC), as well as from key research conducted by the Liberia Field Epidemiology Training Program (LFETP) and partner agencies.

The workshop brings together public health professionals, epidemiologists, surveillance officers, and program staff to enhance their skills in scientific writing and publication in peer-reviewed journals.

The training reflects NPHIL’s continued commitment to promoting a culture of research, data-driven action, and knowledge sharing within Liberia’s public health sector. The workshop is expected to culminate in the development of draft manuscripts ready for submission to reputable scientific journals.
