On Saturday, November 22, 2025, residents and passersby at Todee Junction in Margibi County were seen weeping for a man identified as Peter Kamara, who was reportedly killed following a road traffic accident involving a police vehicle believed to be part of the Presidential convoy.
Grief-stricken relatives gathered at the C.H. Rennie Hospital, where they faced the devastating reality that their loved one had reportedly succumbed to his injuries shortly after the accident. According to eyewitnesses, the main convoy had already passed when the last police escort vehicle allegedly hit Kamara’s motorbike.
An eyewitness riding on another motorbike directly behind the victim of the accident, recounted that no siren was sounded and that the escort vehicle hit Kamara on the side before crashing into the motorcycle. Both the damaged motorbike and the police vehicle were said to have remained on the scene as bystanders rushed Kamara to the hospital.
At the hospital, Kamara’s mother and his son, clad in a CMC T-shirt, cried uncontrollably as stunned residents gathered in disbelief. However, many called on authorities to swiftly investigate the incident and extend support to the grieving family. Though eyewitnesses indicate that Kamara did not survive the accident, official confirmation of his death has yet to be released.
