Two police officers were captured on camera looting as eviction of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) was taking place. Video footage showed the officers sharing two packs of wig and putting it in their bags as the camera was being zoomed to demonstrate the officers’ unprofessional conduct.
Police High Command has disrobed the two officers for their alleged action during the eviction exercise. Deputy Inspector General for Operations, Nelson Freeman, confirmed that the officers were caught in the act for which they have been turned over to the Professional Standards Division for investigation. Freeman told newsmen on the scene of the eviction on Saturday, August 23 that the Liberia National Police will not tolerate unprofessional behavior by officers; stressing that any officer found in violation of the LNP code of conduct, will face the full weight of the law.
