Ten employees of the National Elections Commission of Liberia (NEC-Liberia) have earned certificates in Corporate Digital Communications, Content Development, Videography, and Social Media Management from Blue Crest University. Implemented under the UNDP Liberia Electoral Support Project-LESP, the training has strengthened staff capacity in three key areas, Communication, Live Broadcast, and the Data Center.

Speaking at the certification ceremony on Wednesday, 15 October 2025, NEC Chairperson, Davidetta Browne Lansanah, commended the graduates for their dedication and reminded them that the newly acquired skills are vital tools to enhance both their professional growth and the institution’s overall efficiency.

Browne Lansanah urged participants to apply their knowledge in addressing communication and technological challenges in future elections. Representing UNDP-Liberia, the Head of Inclusive Governance, Mr. Stanley Kamara, praised the NEC staff for their outstanding participation throughout the 12-week training, reaffirming UNDP’s continuous support to Liberia’s electoral processes.

Dr. S. Mangai, President of BlueCrest University, lauded the trainees for their commitment to learning and for embracing the digital evolution in governance and communication. Meanwhile, the participants, through their colleague, Ms. Elsie G. Yarkpai, thanked the Commission, UNDP-Liberia and partners for providing an opportunity for them to learn new skills.  The UNDP-Liberia Electoral Support Project, under which the training was conducted, is co-funded by the European Union, Irish Aid, Sweden and UNDP.
