The Liberia National Police (LNP) has arrested a motorcyclist, Christian Smith, for illegal possession of firearm.
On Saturday, May 18, 2024 about 5AM, alleged suspect Smith violently ran into the check point at Vamoma Junction along the Tubman Boulevard.
Responding officers’ report states that, while Smith was escaping, he ran into a moving vehicle in the opposite direction when he saw a Police vehicle ahead of him.
As a result of his accident, he sustained fracture on his left heel, knee and ankle, and was rushed to the trauma procedure room at the JFK Hospital.
The report further reveals that during the medical examination, he was discovered with a single barrow short gun and two rounds.
Currently, the accident victim now suspect is under Police custody while undergoing treatment, pending investigation.
