The Ministry of Education, through its Department of Planning, Research and Development, successfully convened a two-day Annual Work Plan (AWP) review meeting from May 15–16, 2025, in Monrovia. According to a press release dated May 19, 2025, the session focused on evaluating the implementation progress of the FY2025 AWP for Quarter 1.
The program was led by Abdallah Housseini, Director of Planning, Research and Development, and brought together reporting officers from key departments, divisions, and bureaus of the Ministry.
The objective was to assess departmental performance, identify implementation challenges, and foster collaboration in addressing strategic priorities for the education sector.
The review featured breakout sessions, technical presentations, and interactive discussions designed to improve reporting systems, resolve bottlenecks, and promote best practices in planning and execution.
Emphasis was placed on building consensus around actionable strategies to strengthen delivery and accountability mechanisms across the Ministry. This exercise reflects the Ministry’s firm commitment to results-based planning, performance tracking, and sector-wide coordination—aligned with its overarching goal of delivering inclusive, equitable, and quality education for all Liberians.
