Since the coming in of the Commissioner General (CG) Elijah Rufus-led Administration at the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), there has been some level of transformation affecting every segment of the entity.

Colonel Rufus, affectionately addressed by officers as “our own man”, is said to be making major headways in his leadership style displayed among officers of the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS).

Prior to his recent preferment as LIS boss designated, his leadership as Acting CG opened out with collecting ideas across LIS officers on how and what can be done in addressing issues confronting LIS growth and development.

Against this backdrop, the LIS CG and his team of leaders at the LIS have deemed it very necessary to have suggestion boxes at the headquarters of the LIS in order to address the real issues affecting officers.

According to information gathered from the LIS, suggestions from officers of the LIS will be seriously considered. Colonel Rufus, who is now regarded as a people centered leader, has openly told officers that his leadership stands prepare to work them in enforcing the necessary mandate given by the Government of Liberia to do.

Since the suggestion boxes arrived at the LIS, there has been excitement among officers; most of them are saying that “now their complaints and suggestions will go directly to the office of the CG.”
