The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) has welcomed 35 students within its professional space, under the Government of Liberia’s Young Professional Internship Program, implemented by the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP). ‎According to a press release dated September 15, 2025, the students were recruited from various High Schools, Universities, and Colleges in Liberia through an intensive vetting process conducted by MFDP.

‎ The Interns have been assigned to all five divisions of the Corporation, including Administration, Management, Technical Services, Finance, Sales and Marketing. For his part, LWSC Deputy Managing Director for Administration T. Wilson Gaye, welcomed the students, stressing that internship programs form an integral part of the nation’s growth.

Managing Director Mohammed Ali urged the interns to be vigilant in their assignments during the program. He acknowledged their determination to take on this challenge while encouraging them to seize the opportunity afforded them to get hands-on work experience. ‎MD Ali wants the students to see their respective duties as opportunities for future employment.  The students will receive practical work experience across government ministries and agencies for a period of four (4) months.
