Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung has urged local county officials to rally behind the Government of Liberia’s ARREST Agenda, the official development plan for the nation under the Boakai-Koung administration.
Addressing an audience during a welcome and reception dinner held in Nimba County on Sunday, Koung emphasized the vital role of leadership by likening it to a borrowed coat.

The week-long event brought together county superintendents, city mayors and ministers, including the Minister of Internal Affairs, in a concerted effort to foster collaboration and drive progress for the nation.

He said local county officials need to work more in the interest of the Liberian people as the greater the reward will be in the end.
The Vice President highlighted that several local officials from the fifteen counties had been promoted to various offices in recognition of their unwavering commitment and dedication to their duties.

He extended a warm welcome to current and former local government officials from across the counties to Nimba, underlining that the growth and development of Liberia should be the paramount focus for all county officials nationwide.
