The Federation of Liberian Associations in Ohio (FOLAO), a chapter of the Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas (ULAA), is currently in Liberia, offering essential support to the government and citizens.

On April 23, 2025, FOLAO officials visited the Beautiful Beginning School of Excellence, located in Battery Factory, Lower New Georgia, where they provided assistance to six hundred students. Beautiful Beginning School of Excellence is an elementary institution that focuses on childhood education in the country.

This funding is aimed at helping students who are in urgent need as the semester progresses. According to Madam Johnetta Marshall, FOLAO’s Secretary General, the organization’s support for deserving Liberian students reflects its commitment to aiding the government and the people of Liberia. She emphasized that education is one of her organization’s key priorities in addressing the challenges faced by Liberians at home.

“Nobody feels your pain like we do,” she stated during the presentation ceremony. Madam Marshall promised that FOLAO will continue to offer scholarships to deserving students in Liberia.

Madam Jordan Momu Wornyan, Principal of the Beautiful Beginning School of Excellence, expressed her gratitude to the FOLAO team for their crucial support to students. She noted that the assistance came at a critical time, as the beneficiaries were experiencing financial difficulties in paying their school fees promptly. The ceremony was attended by officials from ULAA, including Daniel Wah, the Northern Regional Vice President of ULAA, and Pastor Cecilia Sieh, among others.
