The Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA) says it is in the process of finalizing the necessary requirements with Ethiopian Airlines to enable it commence operations in Liberia in November, 2024. According to a release issued Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the LCAA and Ethiopian Airlines have been working closely to ensure that all regulatory and operational standards are met, paving the way the airline to launch its services in the country.
The partnership between the LCAA and Ethiopian Airlines is expected to significantly boost Liberia’s connectivity to the rest of the world and stimulate economic growth. The Director General of the LCAA, Mr. Julius D. Dennis, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Ethiopian Airlines and the benefits it will bring to Liberia.
Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest airline, will offer 3 weekly flights between Addis Ababa, Monrovia and Conakry initially. The airline services will provide passengers with convenient and reliable transportation options to and from Liberia. The LCAA said it is committed to supporting the growth and development of Liberia’s aviation sector and welcomes Ethiopian Airlines to the country.
