Delay-In-Salary-Payments-Finance-Ministry-Discloses

The Office of the Comptroller and Accountant General (CAG) informs all employees of the Government of Liberia that processing of payment of salaries for October is ongoing, but payment will last up to the 1st week in November. According to a Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) release, this temporary delay is due to ongoing technical upgrades and maintenance work being carried out at the Ministry’s central data center.

These system enhancements are part of the MFDP’s broader efforts to modernize its financial management systems and improve data security in salary processing and related financial transactions. The Ministry is aware that these delays may cause inconvenience and apologizes to all civil servants and government employees for the delay.

The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning has maintained a strong record of largely being timely in the payment of government salaries and remains firmly committed to upholding this standard.  The Ministry appreciates the patience and understanding of all government employees as these important improvements are being finalized.
