Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) Political Leader, Ex-President George Manneh Weah, has appointed former Speaker of the 55th Legislature, Cllr J. Fonati Koffa, to Chair a committee set up to construct a new national headquarters. Former President Weah’s August 25, 2025 action follows the demolition of the party’s previous headquarters in Congo Town as a result of the execution of a court eviction order.
The committee members include Representative, Cllr J Fonati Koffa, Chairman, Senator Nathaniel F. McGill, Co-Chairman, Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr., Advisor, John Youbuty, Treasurer, Madam Ruth Cooker Collins, Technical Advisor, and Famatta Wesseh, Secretary.
Others include: Mamina Carr Gaye (Youth League), Sriyah Musu Isodjee (Women’s League), Eugene Lenn Nagbe, General Coordinator, Madam Yvette Freeman, Quiwu Pepci Yeke, Dr. Marie Scott-Wilson, Kyne Oliver Kyn, Yayah T. Sheriff, Emmanuel Ticonti Tutu Swen, Cllr. Garrison Yealu, Jurah A. M. Sanoe, Roosevelt Johnson Jr., Michael Andrew Massaquoi, Isaac Doe, Samuel A. Wlue, Manneh George, Ariminty Tubman, and Abraham Askie.
After making the selection, the former President mandated the committee to create subcommittees where necessary, to work collaboratively to deliver the new facility within at least one year. He narrated that the party will continue to receive significant goodwill and support for this project following the recent “politically motivated action”. “To coordinate these efforts, a designated bank account will be opened, and the details made public. Multiple payment methods will be facilitated,” Weah added.
