Liberty Party (LP) Chairman, Musa Hassan Bility has called for united opposition in order to unseat Unity Party in the 2029 presidential election.
Bility made the statement over the weekend at CDC Militants Month event under the theme, “Transforming Setback to Comeback.”
He stressed the need for solidarity among opposition factions if they want to unseat UP in 2029. “A united opposition holds the key to a robust comeback in the upcoming elections and the removing of UP government is stagnation,” Bility said.
According to him, the time has come for them to unite and harness their collective strength to bring about real change. He indicated that calls for unity among opposition parties signal a potential consolidation of anti-incumbency sentiments ahead of the 2029 elections.
Bility said Liberia is peaceful today because of CDC and history will remember their party for keeping the peace of Liberia.
“We are here to celebrate the young people, some call you militant but we want to tell you that opposition should work together to catch power together,” Bility maintains.
He told CDC militants that there will be temptation for them to violate and disrupt the peace of Liberia but they should not fall for the temptation.
