Aviation Awareness Week To Kick Off In Monrovia

The Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA) has announced its Aviation Awareness Week from May 5 to 9, 2025. Speaking Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the Ministry of Information regular press briefing, Julius D. Dennis Jr., Director General of Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA), called on Liberians to join them for an exciting week dedicated to highlighting the importance of aviation in Liberia’s economic development agenda and the enormous benefits that could be achieved, with a vibrant and thriving aviation sector.

He said they are mandated to regulate and promote civil aviation in Liberia, ensuring its safe and orderly development, while advancing all related goals necessary for this vital sector. The awareness week will focused on the crucial role aviation plays in Liberia’s economic development and the tremendous benefits of a vibrant aviation sector.

Director General Dennis revealed a fantastic lineup of activities to engage the public, educate students, and connect with industry professionals. These include: Informative Sessions: Learning about the vital roles of the LCAA, LAA, AAIB and the REIR, in ensuring safe and efficient air travel, as well as discovering career opportunities within the aviation sector.

Interactive Workshops: These engaging workshops are designed to provide insights into various aspects of aviation. School Outreach Programs: LCAA will visit schools to inspire the next generation of aviation enthusiasts and professionals. Public Awareness Campaigns: These campaigns aimed at increasing understanding of aviation safety and regulations.

Industry Engagement: Opportunities for stakeholders to connect, share knowledge, and discuss the future of aviation in Liberia. Understanding the critical roles of the LCAA, LAA, AAIB and REIR and among others.

According to him, the awareness is for everyone, from aviation enthusiasts to those simply curious to learn more about the fascinating world of flight and the crucial work of the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA), the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA), the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) and the Roberts Flight Information Region (REIR). He called on Liberians to mark their calendars and look forward to more details about specific events and how people can be part.
