Autopsy Report In Death Of Hotel Manager Out

Late-Manager-of-Boulevard-Place-Hotel,-Mr.-Anwar-Futloo

The Ministry of Justice has informed the public that an autopsy was requested in the alleged suicide of the former Manager of Boulevard Place Hotel, Mr. Anwar Futloo, in Monrovia. As a result of the request by the Ministry of Justice, an autopsy was conducted on January 7, 2025, by the state pathologist, Dr. Benedict Kolee, in the presence of family members of the late Futloo, law enforcement officers, and mortuary attendants at St. Moses Funeral Parlours on the Somalia Drive.

The autopsy report has established that the cause of death is unnatural, being consistent with a self-directed action, which interpretation is that the cause of death of Mr. Futloo is suicide.

“Wherefore and in view of the above, the Ministry of Justice, relying upon the result of the autopsy conducted, hereby informs the public that Mr. Futloo died of suicide. The matter is now considered closed unless new information compels further investigation,” the Ministry said in a release issued on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
