I am a Liberian journalist based in Monrovia with more than eight years of progressive experience in the media industry. Passionate about storytelling, accountability journalism, and public affairs reporting, she has built a reputation as a dedicated and versatile media professional committed to informing the public and promoting ethical journalism. Throughout her career, Lula has served in various capacities, beginning as an intern and advancing to the position of Senior Reporter at The News Newspaper. Her reporting portfolio spans several critical beats, including the Executive Mansion, Judiciary, National Investment Commission, security sector, governance, public policy, and the Liberia National Police. She has participated in numerous professional development programs, including the U.S. Embassy Journalism Mentorship Program, specialized judicial and legal reporting trainings, fact-checking workshops, investigative journalism trainings, and other media capacity-building initiatives aimed at strengthening independent and responsible journalism in Liberia. In addition to her reporting duties, Lula currently serves as Secretary General of the Liberia National Police (LNP) Reporters Network, where she works alongside fellow journalists to enhance professional collaboration and improve coverage of security-related issues. She is also actively involved in mentoring and training young and emerging journalists, helping them understand the ethics, principles, and best practices of the profession.
