Africa Union Trading Company (AUTC) is making major headways in the fight against narcotic substances in Liberia. Since the ascendancy of the Joseph Nyuma Boakai led government, AUTC has provided the necessary support to the Government of Liberia in the fight against illegal substances.

Recently, AUTC, in partnership with the Liberia National Police (LNP), Arm Forces of Liberia (AFL), Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) and the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) successfully launched “Operation Eradicate Drugs” in Liberia at the Destiny Recovery Rehab Center at Battery Factory Community in Monsterrado County.

According to authorities of AUTC, Operation Eradicate Drugs was organized to help support the Government of Liberia in its fight against narcotic substances in the country.

During the launch, free drug testing was conducted by the medical team from the Africa Union Trading Company (AUTC), and several individuals who graced the program were also tested.

The Chief Executive Officer of AUTC, Erica Twum, said his company envisions Liberia as a country free from drugs and stands ready to provide the necessary support to the Government of Liberia in the fight against illegal substances in Liberia.

He applauded his partners from the security institutions who participated in the launching process, but called on other actors in both private and public sectors to be part of the process of eradication of drugs from Liberia. He promised that more of such drug testing is slated soon across Liberia.
