The Chief Executive Officer of Ma. Yah Kernel Processing Business Inc, in Bong County Mr. Emmanuel A. Tokpah, has launched a passionate appeal to the Government of Liberia and other goodwill organizations to help support the institution.
Ma. Yah Kernel Processing Business Inc. is a local business center established on May 10, 2020 in Gbarnga, Bong County.
The center is focused on the production of locally used products from kernels, including kernel oil, feeds for pigs, and other useful agricultural and cosmetic materials amongst others.
In an interview with reporters recently in Gbarnga, Mr. Tokpah emphasized the need for collaborative efforts from both non-governmental organizations and the central government in helping the center achieve its goal of producing high-quality kernel products in Bong County and Liberia by extension.
Additionally, Tokpah highlighted the potential of his institution in the production of high-quality kernel products that are useful in Liberia’s agricultural sector, and also contribute to income generation for local farmers but said, such a goal can only be achieved when government and goodwill organizations invest in such initiatives.
Tokpah further explained that the center produces more than two hundred tons of kernels weekly, and has created job opportunities for community members as well as generating income for the daily operations of the organization.
Tokpah named the provision of training opportunities for farmers, technical and financial assistance, and infrastructure development to the center as helps currently for the effectiveness of the center.
