A 102 year-old woman, Mary Kpan, has expressed gratitude to the World of Life Ageing Project through its Director Dr. Sam Ndorleh and partners for their continued support towards over 37 old folks within six communities in Montserrado County, while expressing disappointment in the government for its alleged failure to institute and implement policies for the health and well-being of ageing parents across the country.

According to her, their food assistance and health program from the World of Life Ageing Project has been a great help to them, and they themselves can now feel part of the society.

‘’My people, join me let’s clap for Mr. Ndorleh and his partners for the good they continue to do for us. Their food assistance and free healthcare service to us is commendable. However, I am disappointed in the government. Our government doesn’t have time for us. The Government doesn’t feed us, they don’t provide us health service. Everything is left with this man; so we want God to bless him,’’ she said.

Providing overview of the Ageing Project, Ms. Rebecca KG. Nyamndo said that the Project was launched in Liberia with the aim of catering to old folks across the country.

According to her, the objective is to care for people aged 65 and above which she believes will strengthen them to ably participate and contribute to their communities.

‘’WLI Ageing Project has been providing medical and food assistance to older folks within the ages of 65 and above. We initially started with thirty-five beneficiaries but now we have about thirty-seven persons.

She said there are plans to do more and incorporate many people into the program,  but it will depend on the level of blessing God will bestow on the lives of the Executive Director and partners.
