The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has concluded a three-day Monitoring and Evaluation Result-based Training Workshop for its M&E Department in Monrovia. A release sent to this paper on Monday, Sept. 24, 2024, said the training workshop started on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024 and ended on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024 with the aim to accomplish NLA’s sustained commitments to quality work capacity development of its staff, specifically the Monitoring and Evaluation Department.

The NLA M&E upscaling initiative implemented by one of Liberia’s best non-governmental organization, Research Management and Consortium Incorporated (RMC), was further designed to expand staff ideas, knowledge and skills in the areas of monitoring, evaluation, tracking and reporting effectively on the gaming and gambling industry.

At the climax of the three-day event, NLA’s Deputy Director General for Administration, Hon. Ennish Lamie Fahnbulleh praised his boss, Director General Reginald Kpan Nagbe, for his leadership prowess and for the opportunity to represent the Management in such strategic capacity development workshop.

Fahnbulleh commended RMC for the initiative and urged NLA Monitoring and Evaluation Department to make good use of the practical knowledge acquired for the common good of the institution and Liberia at large.

Fahnbulleh said the workshop is just one of NLA’s many upcoming robust capacity building initiatives in making the entity second to none. In response, RMC Chief Executive Director, Mr. Josephus K. Zumo, said the training advanced ideas and skills in the areas of Monitoring, Evaluation, Tracking and Reporting effectively.

Speaking on behalf of the participants, NLA’s Deputy Director for Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Mr. Armah B. Kamara lauded both the Management and RMC for the great training initiative, and promised that acquired skills will be used to advance improved reporting mechanism in the gaming and gambling industry in Liberia.
