The Movement With Integrity For National Development (MIND) has come in defense of Bong County Senator Prince Moye against claims made by Bong District #3 Representative Marvin Cole suggesting that the senator is using his position to steal from poor business people.

According to Representative Cole, members of the Unity Party lied to the Liberian people of bringing change and a new day, but Senator Moye, who served as National Campaign Chair, has failed the people of Bong County.

The Bong County District #3 Representative purported that Senator Moye and his followers are collecting money from marketers at Gbarnga Central Market in the name of giving them table spots at the newly dedicated Sirleaf Market in the county.

He alleges that the senator and the Mayor of Gbarnga are in the constant habit of interfering in the operations of the Gbarnga Marketing Association.

But in a release sent to this paper over the weekend, MIND said it conducted an investigation in Bong County concerning Cole’s claims, which it discovered to be a falsehood and misleading information against the senator who has politically established himself in Bong County and Liberia.

The MIND investigation also discovered that over the years Moye has been an intelligent, law abiding and upright man who upholds transparency and accountability.

MIND described Cole’s statements as a political witch-hunt against Senator Moye, knowing fully well that he (Cole) has failed the people of Bong County in keeping with his cardinal responsibilities as a lawmaker.

The MIND release recalled that Representative Cole had previously described the people of Bong County as disorganized people who don’t have focus and purpose, a statement that undermines the respect for humanity, including traditional leaders,  Zoes, Elders, women, youths, among others

MIND further disclosed that the Central Agriculture Research Institute of Liberia (CARI), Phebe Referral Hospital, CB Dunbar Maternity Hospital and Dolokelen Gboveh High School, amongst others, have all been victimized by Rep. Cole’s wicked deeds.

The group used the occasion to call on the peace-loving people of Bong County and Liberia not to take serious statements that have political motives and not in the interest of the county and country at large.

Meanwhile, MIND has urged Senator Moye to remain focused with the developmental agenda of Bong County, knowing fully well that the Unity Party led government was elected to rescue the citizens of Liberia with the ARREST Agenda.
