President Joseph N. Boakai has called on the three branches of government to coordinate in finding solution to problems confronting Liberia and its people.

President Boakai made the call on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at a dinner held at EJS Ministerial Complex with the leadership and members of the Legislature and Judiciary. The gathering was intended to strengthen coordination in government.

The Liberian Leader said the government should not allow its activities to be carried out on social media but done with consultation and proper coordination on how issues affecting the country can be addressed.

He pointed out that government cannot function adequately if each branch is functioning in different directions which the President observed, are not helping to transform the living standard of the people.

Boakai believes that consultations among the various branches of government will ensure good governance system to improve the socio and economic development of the nation.

He emphasized that these discussions can be held often with the Legislature, Judiciary and Executive to ensure that the government is working in the interest of the Liberian people and not their person interests.

For her part, Chief Justice Sie -A-Nyene Yuoh said the Judiciary remains committed in collaborating with the other branches of government.

Justice Yuoh said the Judiciary looks forward to working with the Executive and Legislature to move the country in the right direction of development.

Also speaking, House Speaker, J. Fonati Koffa said the House of Representatives is willing to work with the Executive to transform the development of Liberia and the governing system.

Speaker Koffa said coordination and collaboration should be enhanced at all levels of government to move Liberia forward.

Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence indicated the Senate remain committed to ensuring that the government succeeds in its development drive.
