The Minister of State without Portfolio, Mamaka Bility, has disclosed that about 285 earth moving equipment are expected in Liberia shortly.
Speaking during her presentation at the Cabinet Retreat on Friday, 24 May at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, Madam Bility said that the earth moving equipment will be divided across the 15 counties with each county receiving 19 pieces.
According to her, the project is under the President’s Project Delivery Unit. Minister Bility stated that the move by the government is part of its ARREST Agenda with focus on road construction.
She explained that as part of the initiative, the government will reactivate maintenance zones across the country.
The Minister narrated that maintenance zones will be constructed across Liberia with assistance from the engineering department of the Armed Forces of Liberia.
She informed the President and his officials that bridges will be constructed as part of the project plan.
“We are working and our plan to ensure that no car will be stuck in the mud is gradually being roll out and we will increase our work and visibility,” she added.
