The Chairperson of the National AIDs Commission (NAC), Dr. Cecelia J. Nuta has taken over the affairs of the Commission with a call for other commissioners to work together and support each other.
Speaking at turnover ceremony last Friday, Nuta said the task before them can only be achievable if they work together.

She thanked previous commissioners for the level of work done despite many challenges they have faced.
She said they are committed to build upon the gains made by former commissioners.
Dr. Nuta said her administration will work to develop a robust media and publicity arm aimed at updating public on the danger of HIV infection.

For her part, the former Chairperson, Theodosia S. Kolee thanked to all employees for their commitment towards the country’s HIV response over the years.
She said when they took over in 2019, the National AIDS Commission was a bit frustrating and there was no turnover note to start with.

“Madam incoming Chair and Commissioners, it is my hope and prayers that your leadership will take NAC to another level where we could not have reached due to some bottle necks. With all said, in this public manner, I now officially turn over all detailed documents which include; the financial records with a closing Cash balance of 273,30USD and 88,049.30 LRD at the Central bank of Liberia to you madam Chairperson of the National AIDS Commission,” former Chairperson said.
