Latest report emanating from Ganta City, Nimba County, says an unidentified man believed to be in his late 40s was found dead on Tuesday after lying motionless for several hours on a market table in the LPRC Zone 3 Community.
According to residents, the man was first noticed at about 11:00 a.m. and was initially believed to be asleep or unconscious. However, as the day went by and he remained in the same position, concerned community members alerted the Liberia National Police (LNP) and health authorities. Health authorities arrived at the scene at approximately 9:00 p.m. and confirmed that the man had died.
Police have requested that the body remain at the scene pending identification by relatives or anyone who may know the deceased. Authorities have also launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his death. The identity of the deceased and the cause of death remain unknown. Police say investigations are ongoing, and additional details will be released as they become available.
