The Management of John F. Kennedy Medical Center has noted several misleading social media posts alleging that doctors at the hospital are protesting over salaries and that no medical doctors are currently on duty.
Speaking Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Ministry of Information, Minister Jerolinmek M. Piah said the Management categorically refutes these claims as false, misleading, and intended to create unnecessary public panic.
He said at no time has there been any protest or disruption of medical services at the institution, adding that doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals remain on duty and continue to provide uninterrupted medical care to patients and the general public.
“We caution the public and media institutions against spreading unverified information that may cause unnecessary alarm or undermine confidence in the country’s premier referral hospital,” the Information Minister said. He encouraged the journalists to seek information concerning the operations of the hospital only through the official communication channels of John F. Kennedy Medical Center.
