A newly constructed multipurpose building has been dedicated in Monsterrado County District #8, an initiative undertaken by the district’s Representative Prince Toles.
Speaking on behalf of Information Minister Jerolinmek Matthew Piah, Acting Assistant Minister for Information Services, Lawrence M. Fahnbulleh, described the project as a significant milestone in advancing community development and preserving cultural heritage.
According to him, community initiatives play an important role in the development of a nation because community development serves as the first responder to the needs of the people. He noted that the multipurpose building will address various needs and serve as a central hub for social, cultural, and economic activities within the community.
Fahnbulleh emphasized that the building represents more than just physical infrastructure; it symbolizes unity, shared identity, and collective progress among residents. He pledged the government’s continued commitment to supporting initiatives that promote inclusive growth and strengthen community bonds nationwide.
The newly dedicated structure will host community meetings, cultural events, and other activities aimed at fostering dialogue and sustainable development. He also lauded Representative Toles, community members, and partners for their contributions to the successful completion of the project.
The dedication ceremony brought together local leaders, elders, and residents, marking what officials described as a historic step toward enhancing social cohesion and preserving Liberia’s rich cultural heritage.
