A Woman identified as Lisa Mark, believed to be in her early 20s, has been arrested by the Liberia National Police Saclepea Detachment for knapping a three-month-old baby.
Lisa told police investigators that she knapped the child on July 26, 2024 in Brewerville Community, Montserrado County. She disclosed that her intention of knapping the child was to impress her boyfriend’s father who had returned from America and wanted to meet his grandchild.
“On July 26 2024, I met Zenna Kamara in Brewerville Community, Montserrado County, where I established a friendship with her and thanked her for the twins she had. We shared contacts with each other where I invited her to my residence in the same Brewerville Community,” she narrated.
She explained that after a few days of friendship with Zenna, she invited her for a visit and asked that she (Lisa) carry one of the babies with her in purchasing food in the community market along with Zenna’s little sister; that was how she escaped to Nimba County.
She informed police that she had given birth twice but none of the children survived. However, suspect Lisa has asked the victim to pardon her, adding that she regrets her action. Source: NIMBA TV Limited
