The Liberia Media and Marketing Services Incorporated, publisher of The NEWS Newspaper celebrates 35 years of media work.
Established on April 24, 1989 by Professor Wilson K. Tarpeh as a voice of the voiceless, the paper has undergone series of tough times under various Liberian government administrations.
At some point, reporters, editors and correspondents were either harassed, flogged or arrested and detained in line with duty.
As the NEWS enters its 35th year, the management has vowed to remain a voice of the voiceless bearing in mind nationalism and social responsibility.
