Speaking on October 11,2025 at the 11th graduation ceremony of O’ Nance International Christian School located at the 72nd Junction, outside Monrovia, guest speaker, Andrew Paygar Flangiah, Sr., emphasized that the task of rebuilding Liberia requires the active involvement of every citizen.
Mr. Flangiah, a seasoned public servant with extensive experience in public financial management and tax administration, urged the graduating students and the broader public to take ownership of national development. He stressed that rebuilding Liberia is not solely the responsibility of the Government of Liberia, but a collective duty of all Liberians.
“Rebuilding Liberia depends on all of us,” he said, highlighting the need for unity, accountability, and civic responsibility. Flangiah currently serves as the Deputy Minister of Industry at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. His remarks come at the time when Liberia is seeking to overcome years of economic challenges affecting every segment of the society, where all hands are needed on deck in the rebuilding process.
The keynote speaker spoke on wide range of national issues confronting the progress of Liberia but ended with some good recommendations for the young graduates. The 11th graduating class named “Cavalla,” which means big fish, was marked with jubilation among the graduands. Several students of the school were honored for their performances during academic period 2024/2025.
Accordingly, all of the graduating students from O’ Nance International Christian School passed the National Exams, which is not first of a kind in the history of the school. Making brief remarks at the closing ceremony, Aaron Wheagar, school proprietor extended his heartfelt appreciation to the school’s administration for their tireless efforts in making sure his school always remains the best among schools in Liberia.He said plan is underway to embark on vocational programs.
