The Ministry of Justice on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, began a three-day Inter-Agency workshop with prosecutors and other justice actors. The workshop which is currently ongoing in Paynesville, brings together members of the Legal and Rule of Law community

Those attending the workshop include county attorneys, prosecutors, investigators, prosecutors, monitors and staffers of the Prosecution Department of the Ministry of Justice as well as international partners-IDLO.

It also considered individuals from the Liberia National Police, Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission, Liberia Immigration Service and the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency as immediate beneficiaries.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Cllr. Augustine C. Fayiah, Solicitor General of Liberia, said the workshop will enhance prosecutors’ skills in writing indictments, developing investigative skills, and promoting ethical conduct, among others.

Cllr. Fayiah stressed that it supports inter-agency cooperation, working jointly to minimize mistakes in law enforcement. Also speaking, Cllr. Natu Oswald Tweh, Sr., Minister of Justice, welcomed and commended international partner IDLO, prosecutors and justice actors for attending the workshop. The minister said that the workshop is an effort to pursue justice and professional excellence for the rule of law in Liberia.
