The Liberia National Police (LNP) has forwarded to court a 36-year old man identified as Neneh Gballah for Criminal Mischief and Theft of Property.
Suspect Gballah is known to be a notorious criminal that enters offices and take away whatever he sees. Suspect Gballah was arrested, investigated and duly charged and sent to court to be prosecuted by the government for allegedly stealing from three senators including Amara Konneh (Gbapolu County), Joseph K. Jallah (Lofa County) and Thomas Yaya Nimely (Grand Geedeh County). He also stole the laptop of Information Minister Jerolinmek Matthew Piah.
Gballah was charged with multiple crimes ranging from Criminal Mischief, Burglary and Theft of Property.
Suspect Gballah was arrested on May 29, 2024 for burglarizing the offices of the three lawmakers and a minister.
During Police investigation, it was revealed that on Saturday May 25, 2024 the suspect criminally made away with one Silver HP laptop, one silver & black microsoft window laptop (from Minister Jerolinmek Matthew Piah of the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs & Tourism through his office window).
Again, on Sunday, May 26, 2024, Suspect Gballah stole Senator Yaya Nimely two black Dell laptops, one camon-20 touchscreen phone.
Also, the suspect made away with Senator Joseph K. Jallah’s Acer laptop, one black Lenovo ThinkPad laptop, and two ThinkPad laptops.
He again entered Senator Amara Konneh’s office and stole US$200 plus L$10,000 in cash, 700 pieces of Aminata gas coupons.
However, the LNP has retrieved eight of the stolen laptops and have been signed for by the owners.
