The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) Board of Directors, top and senior management team members, donor partners, and government sectoral agencies are currently validating the Corporation’s 5-year working tool, known as its strategic plan.

The exercise began on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in the form of a workshop held at a local hotel in Monrovia. According to a release issued via the official social media page of LWSC, the document is anchored on national development goals, including ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development; it aligns with global best practices, particularly the World Bank Utility Turnaround Framework.

The event, amongst other things, seeks to gather final input and build consensus among key stakeholders, which will lead to the conclusion and adoption of the plan for 5 years, 2025-2029.

Additionally, the validation presents discussion for key components of the 2025-2029 draft strategic plan, validates the strategic vision, mission, goals, and key performance indicators, and confirms the alignment of the strategic initiatives with stakeholders’ expectations.

It also seeks to gather final feedback and recommendations for integration into the final version of the plan, ensure shared ownership, and solicit commitment for its implementation.
