The Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Defense, Security and Intelligence, Senator Momo Cyrus, has donated five hundred pieces of rain gears and one thousand reflective vests to the Liberia National Police (LNP). The donation, Senator Cyrus said, was intended to enhance security in protecting lives and properties.
Making the donation on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Headquarters of LNP on Capitol Hill in Monrovia, Cyrus said he was moved by the professional posture of the Liberia National Police under its current leadership. The Lofa lawmaker pledged to lobby for increased budgetary support to strengthen the operations and welfare of the LNP.
Receiving the items, Inspector General of Police, Gregory O.W. Coleman, expressed joy for the donation, terming it a thoughtful gesture. Coleman described the donation as a boost to morale and operational efficiency. He assured that the items will be utilized to enhance officers’ safety.
