The Liberia National Police (LNP) has received high-performance Samsung tablets from the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), with support from the U.S. Government. According to a press release, the contribution will enhance digital reporting and improve the management of Trafficking in Persons (TIP) cases nationwide.
IDLO Country Manager, Chinyelumgo Okoh, praised the ongoing partnership with the LNP, funded by the U.S. Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs since 2018, which continues to strengthen investigations, raise awareness on TIP, and improve the quality of trafficking data.
United States Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Joe Zadrozny commended IDLO’s leadership and reaffirmed America’s support for Liberia’s rule of law institutions. He also highlighted the role of the UN Development Programme in establishing the Crime Statistics Information System (CSIS), which will now be upgraded to include TIP data through this initiative.
Inspector General Gregory O.W. Coleman expressed gratitude to IDLO, the U.S. Government, and UNDP. He said these enhanced digital tools will modernize police operations and strengthen Liberia’s national response to human trafficking.
