The Liberian National Bar Association (LNBA) on this Friday, January 31, 2025, will induct its new corps of officials to steer the affairs of the association for the next three years.

President Joseph Nyumah Boakai is expected to serve as guest speaker for the occasion, the first of its kind according to the Bar Inaugural Committee.

Speaking during a press briefing at the Law Library on Ashnum at the LNBA Office, Cllrs. Elisha T. J. Forkeyoh, newly elected Secretary General and Kuku Y. Dorbor, head of the inaugural committee said that the committee was constituted to plan the activities leading to the induction of the new corps of officers to ensure a smooth transition.

“As you may be aware the Liberian National Bar Association (LNBA) went to elections on November 30, 2024 in Ganta City, Nimba County; and that on January 13, 2025, this committee was constituted by the National President of the LNBA to plan the activities leading to the induction of the new corps of officers, as well as ensures a smooth transition,” Cllr. Forkeyoh said.

According to him, since the team was constituted on the date mentioned, enormous works have been ongoing for the smooth transition including a very colourful and successful induction ceremony.

The program is expected to take place at the Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, which will be immediately followed by an inaugural dinner at the same venue.

His Excellency, President Joseph N, Boakai is expected to present the keynote address, while Chief Justice Sie-A-Nyene G. Yuoh will induct the new officials of the Bar.

Also , the event is expected to be attended by members of the diplomatic corps, senior officials of government, the Chief Justice and Justices of the Supreme Court of Liberia, Circuit Judges,

Magistrates and over 500 lawyers from in and out of Liberia.

The team is currently working overtime to conclude all the logistic and resource mobilization to have a historic occasion that will witness the induction of Cllr. Bornor Vamah as National President, Cllr. F. Juah Lawson, National Vice President, Cllr. Elisha T. J. Forkeyoh as Secretary General and Atty. Yamie Williams as Treasurer.
