President Joseph N. Boakai has honored his Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung for his exceptional service to Liberia.
During the 177th Independence Day celebration, President Boakai presented Vice President Koung with the Grand Band of the Order of the Star of Africa.
In his official proclamation Friday, July 26, 2024, the President stated, “by the authority vested in me as Grand Master of the Order of Distinction, I do hereby admit you, Jeremiah Kpan Koung, into the Order of the Star of Africa with the Grade Grand Band.”
President Boakai urged Vice President Koung Wear to the honor with pride and dignity to the Glory of God.
The honor bestowed on the vice president was part of the official observance of Liberia’s 177th Independence Anniversary held under the theme “Building a New Liberia for All Liberians.”
