The Chief of Protocol to former President George Manneh Weah, Finda Bundoo, has been summoned by the Debt Court Judge James Jones for allegedly owing Jerome F. Walkely US$14,000.
Madam Bundo was summoned based on Jerome’s complaint that he printed the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) victory balloon stickers and other campaign materials for the 2023 elections, amounting to USD $38,000, which were shipped to Madam Bundoo.
Walkely alleged that he and the former Chief of Protocol reached an agreement where he printed 213 cartons of victory balloon stickers, which were shipped with the Ministry of State.
The complainant said he received two payments of USD $10,000 each from agents of Madam Bundoo, and another payment from Mr. Toe Wesseh and Mr. James Emmanuel Potter, leaving a balance of USD $18,000 unpaid.
According to him, despite several attempts to recover the remaining amount, Bundo and her agents have defaulted on the payment.
But after hiring a lawyer, Walkely said he managed to secure an additional payment of USD $4,000 from Bundoo, reducing the amount to USD $14,000.
He further said all efforts to recover the remaining amount of USD 14, 000 has been fruitless, leading to the filing of his complaint.
Walkely requests Judge Jones to enter final judgment finding defendants liable to pay him the sum of US$14,000 including the interest and cost of court incurred by him in keeping with law.
Also, he prays the court to rule all other costs against Madam Bundoo in the spirit of the law; as such, grant unto him all other reliefs that the court may deem just, equitable, and legal in the proceedings.
