Former Montserrado County District #7 lawmaker Solomon George says former President George Weah did not listen to his advice on critical matters and made enmity with him at some point of their Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) government.
Speaking Wednesday, October 9, 2024, on OK FM, Mr. George said Weah is now seeing some of the results of the things he (Solomon) talked about yesterday. George said he told Mr. Weah to get rid of those who were spoiling the government before they bring disgrace to his administration but he refused.
He said the CDC should have sat and thought about the Liberian people but they went astray, something he is unafraid to say. “I personally spoke with Weah several times but he did not listen; because of that I knew he was going to lose the election,” the former lawmaker said.
He said the CDC crooked the Liberian people beginning from the Legislature where legislators lied to the citizens only to be elected and forget about the people to push their personal interests. He said this kind of behavior by lawmakers needs to stop because they were elected to represent the interests of the people.
However, Mr. George said the citizens themselves have their own problem; they reject those who love and care for them for people who would stab them in the back while pretending to be fighting for them.
