The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), Grand Bassa County Detachment, has arrested Emmanuel Kerkulah, 30, and Joshua Jackson, 28, at the Owens Grove checkpoint in the County. The suspects were found in possession of nineteen (19) plates, approximately 19 kilograms, of compressed marijuana, on board a bus en route from Monrovia to Bassa with license plate # B11268.

The seized drugs have an estimated street value of Three Hundred Sixty-One Thousand Liberian Dollars (LRD 361,000.00), equivalent to One Thousand Nine Hundred United States Dollars (USD 1,900.00). The bus in which the suspects were riding is currently impounded at the LDEA Grand Bassa Office while both suspects are still undergoing investigation. The LDEA urges the public to continue assisting in the fight against drug trafficking by reporting any suspicious activities:
