The Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence has named Montserrado County Senator A. Darius Dillon a head of delegation to the inauguration of Ghana president-elect and vice president-elect.
The Senate Press Bureau said a three member delegation departed Liberia on Sunday, January 5, 2024 for the inaugural ceremony of Ghana which is slated for today, Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
The delegation comprises Senator Abraham Darius Dillon, Chairman of the Senate Statutory Committee on Foreign Affairs and Head of Delegation, Senators Gbehzongar M. Findley and Dabah M. Varpilah.
In a letter sent to Pro-Tempore Karnga-Lawrence from the Office of Ghanaian Speaker, the invitation is the swearing-in ceremony of the president-elect and vice president-elect of the Republic of Ghana.
The communication said that the ceremony will transition the West African state to a new political administration and begin a new legislative session, while acknowledging the significance of building strong ties and collaboration among parliaments across the Africa region.
